Dear Heather,

Just stopping by to wish you a wonderful Sabboth.  Hope you enjoy basking in the spirit and peace of the day!

Things here are going fairly well.  There's actually a lot of work to be done around here in order to be prepared for the coming Winter, but I still love the Fall.  The days are always so crisp and clear.  I especially love the colors of the leafs.  They're always so bright and cheerful!

Talk with you again soon,

PRR

Hello, Heather

I have a quick question, sometimes I see people on the site with the word "banned" beneath their name~does that mean they have been banned from the site? I"ve seen it a few times from people who have actually posted, so, I'm just wondering.

thank you Dove

Womanly Gifts

"The rise of the Church from Palmyra to Kirtland, from Kirtland to Nauvoo, from Nauvoo to the West, and in over 150 countries all over the world has come about because the body of the Church, wherever it was, has been loyal to the Brethren. Millions of men and women have followed the prophets of God. I wish to pay special tribute to all of the faithful women since the time of the Restoration who have listened to the prophetic voice of the Church. Their supernal womanly gifts and talents have blessed the work of God in a most important and indispensable way."Those who have stayed with the Brethren have a firm testimony that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who, under divine authority, reestablished the Church of Jesus Christ in our time. Such solid faith is the foundation of the loyalty manifested by the great majority of faithful members who, throughout the history of the Church, have received the confirming witness concerning the reality of continuing revelation. This revelation has come in its time from each of the Presidents of the Church, their counselors in the First Presidency, and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who serve under the direction of the President."

James E. Faust, "The Prophetic Voice, Ensign", May 19

Heather, since not having DSL i chose to get out my 178th General Conference April 2008 DVD. I have collected them for three years. They are priceless to me and the souls that i share them with. Elder Holland speaks with Authority, speaking of understanding of the restored gospel. I am truly amazed how tuned this gentlemen is. How tuned to the spirit he is. This talk should be shown to all friends that we have who say that we are not Christans. Elder Holland comes across with a clear open true message that we all can take internally. After pondering and taking his message deep inside  wear are ready to go out and share this the world. Ten  years ago I went and visited my daughter in Utah. We visited the Temple. Walking across the basement level we came upon Elder Holland. I remeber very well the look he gave me and my daughter. I smile back. My daughter then said "Dad that was an apostle, well at the time I just did not get it. But what I got was a memory of Elder Holland lookinig me in the eye with Love and peace and understanding. I have a lot of catch up to do. studying, reading, listening to General Conferences. There is not one talk that does not teach me more about this church that i was baptismed in.  It should be a requirement to help us help others that just are not quite there on the path. Brothers and Sister I do testify that if one would take in the talks and pray and ask our Heavenly Father for answers for our journey if one would do this one would be propelled along a wonderful course that our Heavenly Father has prepared for us.
