I was a bit puzzled by the purpose of your rating request for Elder Holland's talk. All GA talks are just wonferful, - outstanding and excellent - but some are more relevant to certain indivifuals and situstions than others. Just the idea of rating them seems a bit puzzling & odd to me. A bit like asking people to vote if they think 2 Nephi is better than 1 Nephi? But if it will encourage non members to look at them that is great

I tried to leave a rating but I do not have a sign-in for U-tube.  Anyway, I loved the talk, especially the part where he quoted, I think it was Thoreau (or maybe Emerson) who said at the Harvard School of Divinity, "let us not leave with the concept that God spoke, but that He speaks."  Something like that.

I have seen this video sevearl times now. I love the way Elder Holland addresses the subject of God's Word Never Ceasing. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has always been, is now, and forever will be true. At no time in our history have the heavens ever been closed and at no time has God ever stop speaking to man. The problems have arisen throughout time simply because man stop listening to the voice of God and sought after his own reasoning.
