Hello Meg!

Thank you for inviting me to be your friend. I am quite flattered.

I also really hate "fru fru." Not my think at all. I am a Broadway geek as well and am very sad we can't post YouTubes. I am also an opera geek, and if I'm in the right mood a Soundtrack geek as well.

I am a real snot when I went to be, but if you get to know me, you'll find I am just a puddle of tears.

About your book. Even if it is really terrible, YOU WROTE A BOOK! That is huge! Please don't give up on writing. Do it every day! Someone who can write CAN write.

Again thank you for inviting me, and I hope I get to know you.

Yours,
Elphaba

hello there! how are you? well hope ur doing good. this is just a new friend... Brodway??? IT IS NOT GEEKY!!! is is wonderful... my favorite of all times is The Phantom Of The Opera! Well I really hope u can find a place of peace, even though it is in your heart. You are the only one who make the difference, religion is only a support, all lies in yourself and whom you really are and want to be... hope we can be friends!!!

Welcome to the 'I've got sucker written across my forehead' club!!  I currently have 3 cats, 2 we acquired thru friends and adverts, and 1 just adopted us over a year ago...a 4th cat is lurking around our house every day now, and I can't bear to shoo him out anymore, so maybe he'll be our latest adoptee...Oh the life of animal lovers! lol.

I hope you find what you're looking for in religion, I used to attend the LDS church back in the 70's, for 5 years, but never got baptised, due to personal reasons, however I've attended there twice in the last 2 weeks, and I'm enjoying it again :)

Hi Meg --great name by the way, that's my wife's--

Thanks for adding me as a friend. Well, since you chose me as a friend, I'll tell you a little about me, because well, I can probably identify with you. If you read my profile, you will have noticed that I'm a convert. My mom is Methodist and my dad is Jewish. Nice mix, huh?

I was probably attracted to the Chuch for many of the same reasons you were. I loved the focus on the family (the church's belief that families can be together forever exspecially). The people are great (mostly, hehe... there are some bad apples too). And I really loved that the Church could answer the deep questions of the soul (Where did I come from? Why am I here? where am I going?).

Probably some of the best advice I can give you in your investigation is to study, and really listen to your heart through the process. Seems obvious, but you'd be surprised. Feel free to ask any questions. And no question is a dumb one. I know a little bit now (I've studied the gospel about 2-3 hours a day for the last 9 years) and I remember asking the same questions that you probably have now.

Anyway, Great to have you here! Welcome!

Best Wishes, Rusty

ps- I post a lot of common questions and responses on my website. Feel free to check it out. truthisrestored.blogspot.com
