Now don't let this go to your head, but an entire blog about you. Wow, must be nice to have that effect on people, at least ones without a sense of humor.

Hey!  I like your taste in music..I went to see Echo and the Bunnymen around 24 years ago in Mancheser UK...looks as if you like quite a bit of classic BritPunk? or would it be New Romantics?

I like most British music. My favorite band of all time is Joy Division, from Manchester. They became New Order. I also love the Smiths (who I believe are also from Manchester), the Cure, Depeche Mode, Love and Rockets (although they all live in the US now). British music is far better then American. American music is way too commercial.

I agree, UK music does seem to be better generally, with the odd exception of course!  Manchester and Liverpool are perhaps most famous for generating good music/bands, but I think Birmingham has had its fair share too.  Great to see those band names again after all this time, when I attended the Echo/Bunnymen concert The Smiths were the support band!! (unless my memory is tricking me and Echo/Bunnymen were supporting The Smiths, lol.

What do you think of the UK Glam Rock scene?  I loved Marc Bolan/TRex, and Roxy Music, David Bowie and Lou Reed (not strictly British but an influence on the scene).
