Pushka, my dearest friend,

Thank you for your comment on my page. I want you to know my heart just sings for you,

I hear hope. I hear peace. I hear friendships and spirituality.

I have no illusions your conversion will always keep the demons at bay as you have struggled with them so long.

But I hear something I never have in your posts, and I think it is contement. Is that it?

I want you to know that your happiness, peace and hope actually comfort me. How self-centered is that? But it does as I really have worried about you so. Perhaps I don't have to worry quite so much?

I promise I'll always worry a bit, because that's what friends do. And though I know I've never been alone in worrying about you, I know you now have a whole new group of people to support you in a spirutual way I never could.

And as your friend, I gladly and tenderly give you to them to nurture and cherish your gentle spirit as you deserve it so much. You are an incredibly beautiful person with such amazing kindness, and in my opinion, kindness is what really matters.

I love you my sweet friend,
Elphaba

Hi Iggy,

Thanks for looking into what's happened to Yediyd!!  I hope she's okay and eventually gets her membership here renewed or whatever...I miss her!!!  (Hope she reads this, then she knows it!!)

I just looked at your gallery, and love the way you've made a filmshow of them...your cats look beautiful!!  It's great to put a face to your name and to see the pix of you and your sister when you were younger...don't photos from the 50's have a real atmosphere about them?

Please let me know what you find out about Yediyd...I should email her myself...I'll have to look at your messages to me for the contact details, I might even be tempted to send her snail mail! :)

She is now Jenny. The last time I talked with her on the phone she told me she gave her laptop to her daughter. I don't know if that is why she changed everything over into Jenny.

By the way Pushka, I am absolutely Thrilled that you are going to be baptized. Oh how I wish I could be there in person to share that glorious day with you.

I am pretty wiped out right now. Watched Pres. Hinkley's funeral and I sobbed through most of it. I will miss that man so much! I do like Pres. Monson- and I know he is God's chosen.

Thank you for your comments about my pics. I was leery of posting pics of me since I am so heavy. But I thought- this is how I am and what I am.

I love my cats! I don't have many pics of them though, cause they are afraid of the camera. Don't have a clue why they should be afraid. Never have I ever pointed anything at them that would hurt them! I took some pics with my new web cam. They BOTH came right up and sniffed the cam! But the pics are so reddish. Husband said he would clear that up for me. I just need to transfer the pics over to his computer.

He is a wizard when it comes to editing pictures on the computer. He has the patience of 100 Job's!

I found a pic of me when I graduated High School - 1970. Goodness, how the time has gone by. 38 years ago- wow!

I need to go visit my sister in Seattle. She is the keeper of all the family photos. I need copies of them. Think I will go, buy her a scanner and then scan all the pics in and burn them to a cd.

Well, I'll start the project and my baby brothers kids can finish the project!

Time to sign off-
Love
Iggy

Pushka,
I don't know what happen to Yedyid's account. Why would she spend all that time and effort putting her profile all together and then have it all deleted?

I will try emailing her- then I will call her on Sat. It is way too late to do so right now. (11:02 pm MST)(2:02 Yedyid's Time or 7:02AM Pushka time.)

Later Gator
Iggy

Pushka my purry friend!!!

I absolutely adore your color scheme. I am purple to the bone, and you did a great job!

I have not figured out how to do all of this yet, and my page looks dull, blah and uninteresting. I will get there one day.

I was just telling Onyx how I don't see my friends much any more. That makes me sad.

I miss our e-mails.

I hope you are doing well, though I suspect things are the same.

Have you been attending Church? If so, how has it been? I hope it has brought some peace, if nothing more. You know I am behind you one hundred percent!

Did you hear I got a puppy for Christmas. Elphaba, with a dog!!!
Elphaba hates dogs! Elphaba is in LOVE with my puppy, Xander!

I love you Pushka. I sincerely think about you and hope you are where you need to be.

Love you,
Elphaba

Desmond Jennings? Oh yes I remember him, lovely man. Years ago I had this funny little white furry thing that was supposed to be a yeti. I think we got it on holiday. When we saw it both my husband and I immediately said it reminded us of Des and just had to buy it! Now that may sound a bit mad that this yeti should remind us of a person but it just did. When we showed it to a friend who used to be in Burnley Ward she immediately saw the resemblance too so it wasn't just us.

But then the funniest thing was some time later we had a returned missionary living with us. His family lived in Yorkshire but when he came back off his mission he got a job in Accrington and lived with us, supposedly temporarily until he found a flat but he ended up staying here until he got married. We told him this thing was called Desmond and named after Brother Jennings. He laughed and said nobody coukd actually look like that.

Then a few months later it was Stake Conference and there in the crowd he spotted a familiar looking face and went up to him and greeted him by name. Des was puzzled how this strangercould know him. Then Steve came back to us and said "He does look just like that thing doesn't he?"

If I can find the thing I must take a photo of it to show you. Des was chuffed that we'd bought it because it reminded us of him!

We are part of Chorley Stake too.

You must know some of the people in Rawtenstall Ward who I knew  from there - The Keebles, the Simcocks, Jack and Alice Vernon. Was Geoff Buckley the Bishop when you were there?

It's fun finding someone else on here who is so close to home.

Hi Pushka,

We don't have a chapel here in Accrington. We're members of Blackburn Ward. I've actually managed to move wards several times without actually moving house.

I started out in Rawtenstall Ward as in those days the boundaries were drawn differently. Then they rearranged the Ward boundaries and us Accrington folks became part of Blackburn Ward. I was there when we used to meet in rented rooms and there when the chapel was built which was so exciting.

Then Blackburn Ward grew too big to fit the chapel so those of us who lived over this side (Accy, Clayton etc) were split off into a Ward of our own and we met in rented rooms again.

Then people started drifting away from the area - moving south, emmigrating, and a few years ago we were joined back onto Blackburn again because there was hardly anybody left in the chapel! It's nice to be back in a proper building again.

I've also got 2 teenagers and cats, but only 2 cats.
