Rhonda,

I had tears in my eyes when I read about the miracle that happened in your life.

My addiction is alcohol. I fought and lost against alcohol for about 25 years.

Three months ago, I walked into AA. As part of the 12 steps, I learned that I needed Gods help. I prayed and begged God to take this burden away from me.

My prayer was answered. God simply took it away from me. Not only have I succeeded in putting down the bottle...I don't even WANT it anymore! After being a drunk for my entire adult life that can only be called a miracle.

About a week after I quit drinking I got a visit from two missionaries and have been meeting with them regularly since then. By taking away the burden of alcohol, I feel that God was preparing me to hear their words.

I still have a lot to learn: I was raised in a different faith on my mom's side and (basically) no faith on my dad's side. But I am praying, reading scripture and beginning to attend church!

Thank you for sharing your experience.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Addison
