I enjoy being a member of the 501st Legion. I enjoy building movie quality props and costumes. I'm slowly building a Zorro costume for Halloween this year.

I enjoy singing and am a base voice in my ward choir. I was also a base singer in the Melchizedek Priesthood Choir in the October 2006 Priesthood Session of General Conference. Sitting in the choir seats by the large organ pipes in the Conference Center was an experience I'll never forget. The entire building is an architectural wonder.

I also write poetry/verse, I enjoy designing/drawing/illustrating, writing fiction, fishing, camping, hiking, climbing, rappelling, fitness, weightlifting, mixed martial arts... and Star Wars. Yeah, I'm a geek.

My newest hobby is building artifacts from the Book of Mormon. I am currently studying the Liahona and have now finished building one (see my thread HERE) based on all data and information from the BoM, JSH, FARMS, etc. It's a fun little project that has taught me a lot about how the Lord teaches us things. My next project will be the sword of Laban.

I also enjoy writing fiction. I have done extensive research for stories that I hope will be published, hopefully within a year. I plan on making writing for an LDS audience a part of my new career. Stay tuned for a fiction series coming soon.

I STAND ALL AMAZED

In a nutshell:

I was born and raised in Texas. I've lived in Utah now since '91 and celebrated my 17th wedding anniversary November 8th. I have two full grown boys (I'm an adoptive father) who are my pride and joy. I speak three languages--English, Spanish and German. I am a General Contractor. If you have the plans, I can build it. I love building homes and working with my hands. I have been involved in the construction industry for 17 years and thoroughly enjoy it. I am also and a writer/aspiring published author.

Fitness, Athletics and Bodybuilding have been a huge part of my life and staying in shape and healthy is an important part of what I do for a living. I've been weightlifting for about twenty years but only briefly considered competing and opening up a gym. I am also considering becoming a personal trainer.

I am a member of the 501st Legion, a world wide Star Wars costuming club and it's local chapter based in Utah, Idaho and Montana, where I have served the community by organizing and participating in many local charitable events, such as Asthma Walks, Multiple Sclerosis, Diabetes Walks and Toys for Tots fund raisers, Make-A-Wish Foundation, visiting children in hospitals, organizing highway clean-ups and much more. I enjoy serving the community and making new friends.
