Modern English, Middle English, Old English, Mandarin Chinese, Latin, and Portuguese (well, some Portuguese.....I just flirt with it really).

FAR too many to list (I was a librarian after all). I love nearly anything and everything. I am a bibliophile in the greatest (and worst) way. Talk to me about books sometime. I would enjoy that very much.

Old classics. The Sandlot movies.

I love to learn. I love to listen to people's stories. I love to find and nurture friendships. My children and my (late) wife are my greatest treasures.

Not sure about a favorite video, but Little House on the Prairie is my favorite all-time television program.

I am a scientist at heart. I love learning about the world around me with a quizzical eye. Biology, chemistry, physics, medicine, anthropology....I love it all. I do not believe science has to be at odds with religion. If God created us, then He created science as a way whereby we may learn about His beautiful creations.

I am also a farmer at heart. I love the earth, and I would very much love to own and live on a farm some day. Work the land, get my hands dirty, take pride in the work I've done.

Ha, just saw your comment. Anyway, nope, I'm afraid I'm the last gunslinger, ever since the world has moved on, since the decay of the Dark Tower.

I see you like books...as a literature major I can definitely relate.

Tazz....long(ish) time no talk.  How have you been?  I hope everything with you is well and that you are in good health.

Hey Av! I'm doing great, thanks. And yourself? Glad to see you back.

What an extremely touching story.  I can't even imagine what your life must be life with your wife's condition.  A minute, every hour I'm sure becomes extremely precious.  If there is anything I can do please let me know.  Even just being a friend..I can do that.

That was very kind of you, thank you.  I always hesitate to tell people about her, because I do not want anyone to think that I am after sympathy or anything, but she is such a great person and has such a strong spirit.  She is a constant inspiration to me!

Sounds to me like you have it all in perspective.  Not that it makes it any easier..but....
