Video Section Working
Posted On 03/07/2008 12:46:51

LisaE gave me a great idea. I'm going to keep a blog about things that are happening on LDS.net.

First item to announce: Videos are working again.  You may need to clear your cache and cookies, but I haven't had any problem getting videos to work. Please let me know if you experience any problems.

Thanks to everyone who uploaded your testimony.  We had over 25 new testimonies after I sent out the message.  (http://www.lds.net/listing)

It's great to see how people can come together and really get things rolling. Thanks to everyone for all you contribute to the site.

Book Of Mormon Movie
Posted On 01/08/2008 23:13:41
Did anyone else ever see the Book of Mormon movie? I just wanted to see if John and I were the only two who laughed at all the parts that were suppose to be serious. Now when I read 1 Nephi, I find myself starting to giggle because I can see Nephi jumping out behind a pillar to tackle a guard. (And that's not even in the book of Mormon!) Or the part when Lehi reprimands Laman and Lemuel for tying up Nephi, and they just respond, "Sorry Nephi."

Maybe one day someone will make a more believable and dramatic Book of Mormon movie. I wouldn't even recommend seeing the comedy once.

1 Nephi 1-4
Posted On 08/25/2005 16:09:43
Well I read 1 Nephi 1-4 this morning. I really want to keep up to date and finish The Book of Mormon by the end of the year. I'm not sure exactly why, but President Hinckley's challenge really hit me hard. I guess I'll find out someday why it is so important to reread The Book of Mormon by the end of the year. Even I never do find out why, it doesn't matter. I know that I love the Lord enough to do what ever he asks, and that's good enough for me.

Elder Eyring spoke at my parent's Stake Conference. He said that President Hinckley has also stressed to the 12 that they needed to read The Book of Mormon by the end of the year. Elder Eyring said something to the point of, "President Hinckley didn't tell us why. He just said that he knows that we need to do it. Some people have said, 'Well that's what President Benson told us to do.' The Lord has told us twice through two Prophets that we need to read The Book of Mormon. I don't know what President Hinckley has seen in the future, but he knows that he has seen hard times, and he sees The Book of Mormon as a way to help us in the future."

Four down, 235 chapters to go!
