Today was wonderful
Posted On 05/04/2008 21:49:40
Today, my nine year old daughter stood up all by herself and bore her testimony for the first time. What a wonderful day! Three of my children bore their testimonies today and I was so happy to know that they had the desire to share what was in their hearts! The church is true! I love it!

Why I know the Book of Mormon is True
Posted On 05/02/2008 08:30:43
Being raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I attended my meetings, I was reverent, chaste, and tried to do what was right, and was married in the temple. After having my 8th child, I was asked to be the Spiritual Leader in Relief Society, and teach a lesson once a month. I thoroughly loved the calling, but when I was to give a lesson on the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, I hit a snag. In the lesson it told me to bare my witness that the Book of Mormon was true. I thought I had a testimony of it, but when asked to bare testimony of the fact, I froze in my footsteps. There was no way that truthfully I could bare witness that I knew it was a true book. That month I started re-reading the Book of Mormon, and praying to my Father in Heaven, to know if it was true. Luckily I had begun preparing for my lesson a month ahead. After a few weeks of reading and praying I got my witness. While praying to Father and asking if it was true, a warm feeling that I can not discribe began to rush over me, beginning at my head and continuing to go through me to the tips of my toes. I knew, I knew, without a shadow of a doubt that the Book of Mormon was a true book, and I could tell anyone that I knew it was true. It was such a sacred experience to me and I knew that God hears and answers personal prayers. Sharon R. Cooley
