The door to our Savior
By Maraleh
He stood at the door softly knocking
Waiting for someone to come
Yet was there an answer yet coming
Who knew from the din and the hum
The racket within was tremendous
Yet patiently still he awaited
Every so often a tapping
To see if a meeting was fated
His coming was joyously welcome
Yet through all the noise was he heard?
Who knew that he was there awaiting?
His knocking not much answer stirred
Oh listen for him yet to knock
Don’t let your noise shut him out
He waits there quietly knocking
For us he is waiting about
Come answer the door he is waiting
His patience and love are great
So much in this world distracting
So much to that door makes us late
Come let him into your life
Open that door to your soul
Let our Father in Heaven be with you
And in your hard times take a role
Just listen to hear his soft knocking
Ignore all the din for his call
Let him into your life, yes just answer
And he’ll help in your life in all.
This is a poem I wrote a long time ago, but I had a request to show some of my writing this week, so I decided to go ahead and post some of my poetry. I hope you enjoy it!
