Resources?
Posted On: 08/25/2009 23:59:36

“How we use material resources is a testing ground that reveals our true priorities.”  I read that today.  The question really becomes, “What is the basic difference between the resources supplied by God and those delivered by the world?”  If wealth alone was what makes somebody happy then it would follow that the wealthiest people would be the happiest.  We see that is not the case though.  Why not?  I guess God’s resources are really owned by Him, given up to Him and we would allow God to use them as He sees fit.  When we get caught up in “our material wealth” then I think we start to get off track.  I’ll think more about this I guess.  I’m going to bed now.  Goodnight.  :)

Thanks D&C.  It has been my pleasure knowing you brother.  :)  That's a good question.  I'm dead tired already and will have to think on that more.  I like your point of calling it out the "spiritual wealth" issue.  My point was about seeing things and using things as from their rightful owners.  We can use the things given for God's purposes and they'd go back toward His pupose vs. man's.  At least that is my thought as of now.  :)  That's it, as you said, "the attitude" piece is what I'm teasing out here.  Great call brother :)  Thank you.

DrT...you kill me...lol.

i will address the the issue here...

"a testing ground that rerveals our true priorities"....is there a difference then between what comes from God and what is "earned" from the world?

in fact, many people might say that what we percieve as "coming from the world from our own efforts", still do, in fact, come from God.

there have been so many examples of "money cant buy happiness", people still need to experience it for themselves, to send it home, you know?

but as to Gods resources....apart from monetary wealth, as you well know, deals with spirtual wealth....is this an apple and oranges discussion?

monetary?....spirtual?

my good friend, i know you know these things. seems like God is sending you a lesson to fine tune your attitude, so to speak...lol.

now that you've rested, how do you see the questions again?
