That's Life!
Posted On: 06/12/2008 10:39:27

What a crazy year it's been!  Job changes, attempting to return to school, burst pipes in our house (and still no hot water to most of it), a kid who is learning to drive and still no new baby after more than two years of trying.  Well, I never wanted a stagnant life, lol!

Well, tomorrow I start school.  Still not sure what to do about the job situation.  I lost count of how many applications I put in, and not a single nibble.  Now, with my schedule the way it is, I have no more than an hour or two at a time for a job.  I think I'm going to see about on-campus work.  At least I'll already be there, so I won't have to worry about travel time.  And on-campus jobs are used to working with people who only have an hour or two at a time to spare.

In the meantime my husband is working two jobs, one driving a school bus (and he unfortunately only got a part-time route this year), the other at McDonald's (which wants to make him a shift manager).  So he's really not bringing in much money.  It's so important to both of us that I finish my degree, and I've already put it off for far too long.  It's going to be a real struggle though.

Heh heh, yeah, it's been one heck of a year!  Hopefully we're coming to the end of all the upheavals.
