The Pre-Mortal-Existance According to Chris
Posted On: 09/07/2008 14:57:10

(((NOTICE!: Views in this blog reflect the opinion of the writer and does not necessarily reflect the views the church. So when reading, take it as one person's insight, and that only.)))

I would like to take the time to, as clearly as I can (which may not be as clear as I'd like) explain my personal view of the pre-mortal existence. This includes a few things, which include:

  • The nature of the universe
  • How God came to be
  • How our spirits came to be, and how they're related to God.
  • The Plan of Salvation and the "war in heaven"

I will most likely also touch on the subject of The Fall. But I would like to start explaining.

And where to begin? Where did the Universe begin? I'll tell you plainly and simply; it didn't. The first thing you have to understand that existance in general is a circle without a beggining or end. Therefor, time had no beginning, and neither did the universe. But, for a long stretch of this eternity the Universe was unorganized and chaotic. Now. The Universe has a mind, I call this universal mind "Holy Spirit" (There is a fairly clear difference between "Holy Spirit" and "Holy Ghost".). Amongst the Chaos there was also intelligent matter, that held Holy Spirit, and made up the mind of the universe.

Out of this mind, the Universe created a world and a man. Bestowed upon the man was the authority to preside and manipulate Holy Spirit, he took part in a large portion of the universal mind. He lived life, bringing organization to the universe, and then offered himself up as a sacrifice to the expanse that allowed him to live. And in return the expanse let him to continue to live eternally.

Now, somewhere along the line I believe God created a female counterpart from himself, thus beginning the divine institution of marriage. From the intelligent matter mentioned earlier, He and the "Heavenly Mother" both organized this matter into our Spirit-bodies, creating a vast civilization of spirits, that would be the creations/children of our Father. Our Father and our King.

I believe that Christ was the first creation of the Father, and that Lucifer was the first creation of the Mother. Making them both Princes within the Kingdom of God at that time. Since they were both Princes, they were both at the time eligable to be heir to our Father's Kingdom... Thus came forth the church in it's original form. There were two churches. "The Church of the Kingdom of Jesus" and "The Church of the Kingdom of Lucifer." Many made alliegences with either one or the other Kingdom, and many were indecisive about which of the two they would allign themselves with.

Somewhere down the line God called a council, in which he would explain the Plan of Salvation. How we would go through to Earth, be tested through trials, and hopefully come to return to Him in a full, exalted, ressurected body. That we could be like him. In order to do so he'd first need death brought into the world, and then also someone to bring in the ressurection. The heir to take on all the trials in the world would, by paying for our sins, literally purchase, then becoming rightfully a King over us. God asked his two heirs which he should send to take one the task of returning us to Him.

Lucifer was the first to speak, and with great oratory stated that he would bring everyone back, and would become greater than the Father. Now, a lot of people assert that Lucifer proposed facism, that he would force us to do the right thing. I see it differently, I feel that what Lucifer wanted to do was to abandon the laws that were set forth in the Kingdom, and give everyone basically a free ride with no consequences. Another thing, is that he was doing this for himself, it was about him.

Jesus then interjected, and said that he would be willing to do the work, under the will of the Father.

God then, obviously, chose Jesus to be his heir. And also rebuked Lucifer, and basically said something to the effect of -If you feel you can build your kingdom without me, go ahead and try. You'll be opposing me, for you have turned against me.-

Lucifer, puffed up in his pride, would not leave it at that, and rallied the people who were already his followers against God, and with such great oratory that he even gained one third the host of heaven.

Of course, Lucifer and his followers failed, and became the Fallen Ones, or Perdition. And Lucifer also become the Adversary, or Satan...

After this, I believe Michael(Adam) took on what would of been Lucifer's spot had he not rebelled against God. Which was to be the first man to live on Earth, presiding over God's children in a more physical fashion, and was to bring death and opposition into the world. I also believe that after his passing, that he became what's called the "Angel of Death."(As for the Holy Ghost, and how He became a member of the Godhead, I'm not exactly sure... I assume He was a noble volunteer to do what, y'know, He does.)

It's interesting to note that both God, Jesus, and Lucifer needed the same thing at this point to build up their Kingdom's. Free Agency. It needed to happen. And though Lucifer was the tempter, it was God who instilled the temptation in the first place by making the choice available. And so it was not purely evil that brought opposition into the world, it was a necesary and important step that would lead to the possibility of our exaltation. The first step in our lives to take the Fruit of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, as Adam/Eve made possible, and the next is to take the Fruit of the Tree of Life, and become ressurected, and if you took the necessary steps, exalted, which Christ made possible by his own sacrifice/atonement and ressurection.

And that's what I conclude with. I hope this was understandable, and again, this is just my personal point of view and speculation on it....

That's an interesting series of ideas.
