birthday/ friendship poem....
Posted On: 07/05/2008 10:22:20

When I write a poem it seems
I don't know what to say
And yet I thought that I would try
For you on your birthday.

When kids are small they make an oath
With pinkies curled up tight
'You know that we'll be friends forever
And that I love you right?'

I know that I can trust you
And I know you'll never tell
We can talk 'bout anything
And that's why you're my pal.

I admire the way you do things
I like how you understand me,
and the crazy things I do
You'll always lend a hand.

I'll always look up to you
You'll always be right there
I'll try not to disappoint you
Because you know I really care.

I hope your day's the very best
And that you have great fun
You are my friend,
you'll always be The greatest #1.

Very cute!  I write poetry pretty regularly - it's nice to see other people writing it too!  :)
