Thank you for writing on my page! It means a lot. For a while, it seemed all I did was search things about the LDS Church. I was raised (and still am) Lutheran. I was raised in a home where we always went to church when I was younger, so I was always warned about the "cults" like Mormonism. But the more I researched, the less strange I thought it was. The things I learned made a lot of sence. I actually borrowed the copy of the BOM from my local library last year. And after that, I actually finished it online. And I took the challenge and prayed about it. My only problem was, I wasn't hoping for an answer. I was expecting it to just *BAM*.. happen. But when it didn't I got disappointed. I still pray about it once in a while but I still don't have a firm belief in it. I want to know it's true. What I read over and over on people's testimonies is that the KNOW it's true. And that's what I'm searching for. There is a LDS church in my town but I still haven't attended yet. I'm still building up the courage.

Sorry if this was extremely long ;)

What a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful testimony!!!!  I smiled through the whole thing!  In some ways it reminded me of me.  I didn't go anti on my sisters who were LDS but I certainly had a tsk, tsk attitude towards their belief.  Jokes on me, LOL!  It took me almost 40 years to realize the truth but here I am! Yay!  Billy Graham was a favorite in our house and like you at 14 I knew I needed to be 'saved and baptized.'  I joined a local Baptist church.  At 19-20years of age I was into my agnostic years.  I'm thankful for Heavenly Father's guidance and love that has brought me to the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Love your family pictures!  Your avatar brought me to your profile because it looks like the southwest -- I live in NM.  Glad I stopped by and read that wonderful testimony.

Glad to have struck a chord - we live just north of Tucson in the foothills of the Catalina mountains.  Thanks for your nice comment!

We live in Silver City, NM.  My husband hauls simi-loads for the Forest Service during the fire season.  I remember a 2 or 3 years ago he had fire runs to the Catalina mountains.

Hello! Just read your forum post - think you meant "wolves in sheep's clothing?" ;-) Good point. I have to wonder about some of the posters here too. Notice youre in Taiwan - where in Taiwan? My son is serving in the Taipei mission!

Yeah, I often transpose my words--

I am in Kaohsiung which is directly at the opposite southern end of Taiwan. But missionaries get moved around, so who knows, I may meet him some day

Thank you for adding me to your list of friends.  I just re-read your wonderful testimony and it brightened my night.  I am  off to bed now with your witness fresh in my mind.  How blessed you are, a beautiful family, a strong testimony, and an understanding of who you are. We simply must be friends for we have so much in common there!  lol  Thank you for your insights.

Yes, absolutely there are people who are hard to deal with - in and out of the Church .  No reflection on the Gospel!  I am very impressed with a mother of 8.  I wish I could have had more.  I remember a G.A. quote once as I was preparing a lesson, can't remember who it was - that as LDS we are not obedient because we are blind, but we are obedient because we can see.  Would love to be friends!  Talk more about thinking and seeing and sheep - And share faith.  Take care!
