Oh snaps! I can't believe I just missed David Archuleta! He visited the Manila Temple this morning and did a few proxy baptisms.
I just work across the street and I missed it!
He's touring the Philippines with David Cook and their having a concert at the Mall of Asia tomorrow.

Last night, our youth gathered for their monthly Sunday Evening Discussion. During the open forum, I shared to them a story from the Mormon Mesages page at YouTube about the story of President Hinckley entitled "Lessons I Learned As I Boy".
I find it interesting talking to a group of young men and young women who are very familiar with today's technology and about the internet, not know of the Church's page in YouTube.
I guess in a way 'new media' as Elder M. Russell Ballard described in his BYUH speech has helped me to become more aware of wonderful resources that we have to further the work of the Church.
I encouraged them to visit the site. Hopefully, this will be a means for them, like me, to be introduced to sites that have church-related themes.

This is really interesting. When I usually take a peek here at LDS.net around this time, I notice that there are a number of users in the chat room. Now theres no one there. I know it's only around 7:45pm there at Salt Lake as I am writting this blog and I think it's still pretty early for anyone's bedtime so I'm guessing that everyone's tuned in to American Idol Finals.
It is also being shown here live in the Philippines. I think I'll just be catching the replay tonight.
Hope David Archuleta wins!
