Who knows, we may have run across each other at a Stake Conference.   I lived in VB from 1965-2003, with a few years off and on, at different duty stations (I was a Navy wife).  I joined the church in 1970, and moved back to VA Beach, permanently, in 1975.  The VB Stake Center was my ward chapel.  Small world, isn't it!

Where in VA?  I spent most of my adult life at VA Beach. I even lived on the Ocean front at one time, and on Chesapeake Bay another time.

Wow!!! Very cool personal page.

My story is similar to countless thousands but few have been able to share it. I have a book coming out this spring. I'll keep you posted.

Hello Visitor to My HomeCity,

I think we all have a love/hate relationship with this city. Remember that those of us who live here rarely visit that which gives Vegas its name. Most of us go to the strip only occasionally for dinner (we have the greatest restaurants), to shop at Norstroms (no one else carries pants long enough or shoes long and skinny enough for me!) or to show  out-of-town visitors the dancing waters, volcanos, etc. The rest of it is pretty much a regular city that has great weather (except for the 75 or so days above 105) and quite a number of stakes of members.

My husband and I lived in North Carolina for 12 years and I never thought I'd want to live here again, but I'm a desert rat! We both love it! No mold and mildew, fewer bugs, more Mountains, Mormons, and Mexican food (the 3 things I missed most)!
