I was asked to go over and use my priesthood authority to bless a woman in a church members complex. She has a bad back and not able to work or do much of anything. This member has been talking to her about going to church. Blessed her with oil prayed for her left her with a bom. Felt good after we left about her drawing close to the gospel. Wanted her to aventually join the church. She dosent seem to be too interested because she thinks that were not christians. Not true still trying to talk to her and covince her our church is true. Its hard knowing that I go out and do missionary work talk to people and give them book of mormons. Some people people dont recieve the good news, and never come to church. The time must not be right for them. I wish they would feel the same things I do about the Bom. Would appreciate any feedback.
lately been asked to participate with the church on topic of the 5 steps that lds have to do to live missionary type lifestyles. This is new to me being a new member. The concept of not just having the gospel as part of your daily lifes but being filled up by getting total strangers to take in the gospel. I got to get a taste of this and more and more is it a new and totally satisfying way of life. For instance was called to deliver furniture to family in need that were not converts. The overwhelming feeling is like no other that i had known. The family was so abundently happy. The kids are currently going to church and trying to get the rest to go. It leaves more oportunity to get them to know the gospel. Went out to three familys to talk to. I know that the lord knows i'm trying to do his work. They may not decide to join the church done more than just satifsfying my own spriritial needs musicman
I learned alot of great traits from the missionarys. For example lending you heart to complete strangers , even if you can't convert them to the church, Keeping a open mind, heart and spirit. I have recently have had a couple of opportunity's to help my elderly neighbor. She got some medical problems, i decided to help her bring in her grocerys one night. Just tonight she was having a heart attack or some episode and told me to call for help. I had no problem going the extra mile to make sure she was ok till the paramedics came. I hope she's alright. I believe if the holy ghost is active in these situations.Keep helping the missionarys out spreading the gospel to new members or investagators. This leaves me with a great feeling of accomplishment. I'm doing my best to share the holy spirit with people in need.
the church has blessed me with an assigned calling. I'm feel like the sprit of the holy ghost keeps guiding me in the right direction. I have also decided to talk to complete strangers about the gospel like were supposed to do. I believe that we are called by god to share our testimony with anybody. Whether they convert or not. I think it was the missionary's that taught me this gift, or maybee it's still the power of the holy ghost This is my testimony today, In jesus name amen Musicman
over the last couple weeks I have been meeting new people through the missionary's to bear my testimony and the gospel. I have had a great feeling about this. There is nothing like this. The best thing is getting them to join the church and go through what you've been through. We can't live as morman's just getting the rewards of our savior without sharing your testimony of the gospel with other people. Thanks, in jesus name Amen Musicman
