To quit seeing the world as such a great place. Sometimes the glass really is half empty. Plus, who really likes a susie-sunshine all the time anyway?! That's just gotta be irritating. I need to grow up and look at the world with maturity and seriousness. That way things won't hurt me as much when they happen, right? Really! How can you resist a kid who makes a playlist that includes Sunshine Lollipops And Rainbows by Leslie Gore, Duel of the Fates from the Star Wars Soundtrack and Light by KMFDM???!!!!! and then yesterday...this is the best ever... I was driving his friend home and Bry was barefootie...I was like, Bry, why you barefootie?? He said...Shoes are for squares! ahahahahahahahhaha!! having ivy home has been the highlight of my week. how did i ever survive the summer without her? having her home is like i can see the world clearly for the first time. it's wonderful. marvelous. i can finally sleep peacefully at night knowing that she is under my roof once again. there. happy?

So, I've had kind of a crazy week! I went and picked up Katie and Bryan from the airport on Tuesday, so that was awesome.  Then Wednesday I started to get a rash on my arm. I thought it was an allergic reaction to some ant bites I had gotten over the weekend. So, I started loading up on the Benadryl and Cortizone cream...but it wasn't really helping. Thursay was a big day! I found out the job that I got hired for was actually starting! Finally!!! Just to give you a little perspective...I started my new job in January..so, that was only 8 months! The super duper bonus is that I am one of only a few people that can do every job on the floor there! lol! Anyway, I have training for these Care Calls on the 14th and 15th and then start those on the 18th. One major bummer is that the client is in California (shout out) and we have to call (or wait for calls) until 7pm so that means siouxz72 gets to work until 9pm....ouch! But, as always there is a silver lining.. my boss totally loves me so he made a 4x10 shift for me so that I only have to drive out there 4 days a week...woohoo!! And, since we work in to the evening we get and extra shift premium per hour. yippee!!! So...I suffered with my allergic reaction for the weekend and finally went to the doctor yesterday. We figured out it wasn't the ant bites, but an allergic reaction to shellfish! how could I have developed an allergic reaction to shellfish???? wwwwaaaaaaaaaa!!! What a massive bummer!! that just stinks!! oh well...at least we know what it was and i know what to avoid.....

Lol! I bet you never knew those were the first words out of my mouth when I saw you for the first time. "she looks just like Snow White" Dark brown hair, pale white skin and red red lips. Who knew that you would grow up to be Aurora? I remember the amazement when I realized for the first time that HF was trusting me with your little spirit. That He was letting me and Daddy take care of you in this mortal realm. What an awesome responsibility and what a wonderful gift! I'm so so so proud of who you are, Ivy. You are a good, sweet, smart, funny, feisty young woman with so many gifts that it takes my breath away. I like to take credit for who you are a lot of the time, but I know really who you are is your gift from God. That you are able to take a group of rough and tumble young men and make them ALL want to be better people when you're around says a lot about who you are. The fact that your 12 yo sister wants so much to be just like you that it drives you crazy says a lot about who you are. That you've grown to be a good example to the young women in our ward says so much about who you are. The fact that you were willing to give up your summer with your friends to take care of your family speaks volumes of the young woman that you have become. I hold the fact that you consider me one of your best friends as well as your mom to be one of my greatest accomplishments. I'm getting all weepy as I sit here and type this, but I'm just so blown away by who you are that I can't help it. I'm so looking forward to the day you get home and going to our Vampire Wedding party! Woohoo! What is it? A week and a half still?! gah! I can't wait to see you! I love you, Princess! hey everybody! i spoke to my sister and my mom and the results of the tests are promising. the valves of her heart look good...as do her lungs. she does have a thickened wall (?) though that is making it so that she's not able to use her heart to it's fullest capacity. the remedies for this are a pacemaker or a surgery where they go in and remove part of that thickened muscle so her heart can function properly. the good news is, she isn't to either place yet. :) they're going to adjust some meds she's on to see if that helps. the meds, ironically, are to help with her heart rhythm. haha! we tell her she's got no rhythm cuz she's white. it took her a while to think that was funny... but i thought it was hilarious the first time. anyway..that's it! okay..i'm off to bed. 'night ya'll!

please! She's going in for an angiogram tomorrow and I'm worried sick! Please send all your good thoughts her way! Depending on what they find she may need a pacemaker or heaven only knows what else! I feel like a scared little girl! Why does that always happen when it's our parents that get ill? you know? One of my kids gets sick and I am like Supermom! Got everything that they could possibley need in order to get well! But when it's my own parent that's sick...I'm just helpless! I can't make it better! I can't fix it all and I don't know what to do! I just called her though and told her I love her tons and tons and that I'll check on her tomorrow.....so, everyone help a sister out and say a prayer for her mommy..thanks!!
