I am currently reading the Great and Terrible series .Would highly recommend it . Even though fictional it caused  me to think about how really unprepared I am to face the Last Days . Even now I find I doubt my worthiness and the strong foundation I think I have gets shaky . I am so grateful for the good books and good music we are encouraged to look for . They really do help to fill my thoughts with good .

Getting to know me
Posted On 12/27/2009 13:20:16

While growing up with a single parent who was my dad. Dad always believed you have to make your own choices. And the way he helped me to learn about religion was to show me alternatives . I had been christened as a baby in the Anglican church. But as I grew older never attended. Checked out Billy Graham when he  came to Australia .Had fun learning the tambourine with The Salvos and numerous other religions I had visited . Ironically I had never heard of the Mormons in any shape or form.By the time I wa 18 I didn't have anything to do with any religion in my life at all . Both previous marriages I refused to be married in any church as I considered them all to be false . By the time I was 30 . I had 2 divorces and 2 gorgeous girls under 5 . We had to move into a housing commission flat which was a severely humbling experience. Over time I met a excommunicated single mum who attended  Institute on a weekly basis and needed a babysitter. When she would get home we would discuss what she had learnt . I developed a interest in the Church and as the saying goes the rest is history . Ironically she hasn't come back to church but after 22 years I am still here . Sometimes my foundations are shaken but never wrecked .I love to talk to anybody about our Church and am looking forward to getting to know more members in this site .
