I awake thinking of Jesus
this morning meditating in
a kind of grateful prayer pausing
before the chores motivate me
to action and so I allow
myself a moment to ponder,
to remember the Perfect Man
who is like none other – a God.
I fix my muddled mind on His
crystalline light and my heart fills
with direct hope despite my own
imperfections I sense a guide
nearby showing me better paths
by way of the Holy Spirit’s
heavenly inspirations through
today’s earthly expectations.
